Gavin O'Neill Photographer in France

I'm a photographer Model Mayhem, from new Zealand, but i now live between Paris (9 months a year) and Sydney (3 months). I have taught myself photography, mainly because of where I grew up there wasn't anybody shooting anything decent to inspire me, and because I'm a Leo, so I'd rather do it myself anyway.
I do mostly beauty, swimwear and nude,
for many magazines (mostly in Australia and Europe) and work regularly in Paris, Sydney, London, Germany and occasionally the USA. I also retouch most of my own work, so it means I have no life, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am constantly testing and updating my portfolio, I feel that fashion as well as any other art has to be kept up with , especialy in the field I work in.
The networking as well as the pool of ideas that one can gather from being around others with like goals and talents.
I am the artist and the photographer so I am extremely particular as to what models I use for the creative concepts I come up with for publications. I do not collaborate with models on shooting concepts, (it is their job to become what is called for in the booking) If I do collaborate on any shoot it would be with my creative team/make up artist/stylist / hair stylist, who I trust and who I have worked with for several yrs.
This is securing the creative Vision of the publication submission as it is being produced.
